In most cases we can have your custom stamp made and ready for collection or delivery within 2 working days, larger orders will take a little longer. In urgent cases we can often have your stamp ready on the same day provided you get your order in to us early in the day. We also have a wide range of pre-made Office stamps in our City store, ready for immediate collection or dispatch.
Different surfaces require different inks. Regular rubber stamp ink (as in normal rubber stamp ink pads and self-inking pads) dries by absorption and can be used on regular paper surfaces. For shiny or glossy surfaces the ink cannot be absorbed therefore a quick dry ink is required. This ink dries by evaporation and can be use for plastics, coated card and paper, and other shiny surfaces.
We can also supply laundry ink for washable clothing and materials.
Stamps can be ordered either by fax or email, or by calling into our City store. When ordering by fax or email we need the following information:
1) Overall size of the stamp you are looking for
2) Self-inking or regular rubber stamp?
3) Ink colour if you are ordering a self-inker?
4) Surface to be stamped onto
5) Your contact information
6) If ordering a regular rubber stamp do you need an ink pad as well?
Yes! We can send you a proof showing the design/layout of your stamp impression before we go ahead and make up your stamp, there is no charge for a proof.
If your self-inker is in good condition you may not need a new stamp. We can remove the old rubber and fit a new rubber with your new details saving you money. In most cases we will also need to fit a new ink pad, often the impression from the old rubber text plate is deeply imbedded into the old ink pad.
We have some Common Seal and Office Stamp samples on our web page, we can also show you a wide range of samples in our City store, including JP stamps.
Yes! You can send us your artwork by email as a high resolution jpg, gif, tiff or bitmap. To enable us to make a high quality stamp we need high quality artwork in black and white rather than grayscale. Although we will help out with getting the right artwork result we do not offer a graphic design facility as this is an expensive process. Send us your design and we will offer advice and assistance.
The ink in your self-inker will last for thousands of impressions, when you notice your impression starting to fade you can either add a little more ink, or simply replace the ink pad. We recommend replacing the ink pad, replacement ink pads are inexpensive and easy to fit, and we can show you how.
If you decide to add some ink to your pad it is important to not over-ink the pad and always use the correct type of ink, using incorrect ink will damage your stamp. We stock the ink bottles and can advise you as to which ink to use.
